how do I record tv programs onto the DVD?

What channel or button am I supposed to press to enable me to make tv recordings onto a DVD using my liteon DVD recorder? I am not very technical yet have so much trouble just trying to record!

Nothing to do with your TV. The DVD recorder has its own tuner. So I am afraid that you are going to have to read the instruction manual.
