boiler will only start up when taps are open , will not start up for central heating eventhougth its switched on for central heating and hot warter.
please reply ASAP has it is very cold and i'm freezing.

Could be the diverter valve if your system has one. Strange you say there is no room thermostat as most Combi boilers have.

Check the room thermostat is set to above ambient.
