After my son formatted the c: drive I had to reinstall windows XP.
I have registered it but when I came to use it there are no sounds?

I done as you said and all was well UNTIL I just tried it again and there is no signal a complete blank screen.
if I can't see the screen how can I rectify.

You need to download the make/model specific drivers from the PC's manufacturer's web site.

You can usually get the drivers you need form the manufacturer's web site - the support section - the manufacturer of the equipment. If the web site asks for money you are on the wrong web site
