my tricity tumble dryer, tm540, won't heat up?

i have a tricity bendix tumble dryer, model tm540. it won't heat up anymore. the timer is still working, the drum is rotating and cool air is coming out through the vent. however, i need hot air to dry anything - it is just not doing its job. i would like to know which spare part to buy and how to fit it myself if possible. the only general repair guy in town charges a lot for call out fees, on top of parts needed and labour. any ideas?

I have just fixed the same problem today on my indesit tumble dryer, at the back of the dryer after you remove the cover you will see the heater element and above that there is two thermostat sensors, these will have gone, i just purchased replacement ones at a parts shop for £13.90. they can be purchased from indesit for £15.95 + £5 p+p these sensors are universal for most brands of dryer. Hope this helps.Terry
