The tumble dryer completes the cycle and dries the clothes but there is no water in the tank when the cycle is completed.

The drier started throwing the trip so I took the top off and the belt was broken. Should replacing the belt solve the problem or is there something else more serious wrong with it?

have tricity bendix model tm310w. i am in the process of changing the belt.have belt fitted drum is back in place but still slack wedged motor over stuck at that point
