how do i set up and use? challenge xtreme 1800w pressure washer?

bought this pressure washer from argos last year but not used until today. no instructons so hooked it up myself turned it on, very noisy but nothing came out of the nozzle? what have i done wrong and where can i get an instruction manual?

With mine I had to make sure water reached end of hose and then when connected to washer, it worked!
Something to do with priming the pump, maybe?
