hav recently installed a wood burning boiler stove , the system with adition of 2 gate valves to route and controle waterflow works a treat -lookin forward to a minute gas bill , as the system retains use of the gas boiler i have to turn the boiler stat up again to QUICKLY heat the hot cylinder and set controles according - its like running a powerstation swichin from boiler to stove with valves and controles to swich over . to simplyfy things and make it unnesasary to run the powwerstation i want ad another pump near the stove wich will run only the heating circuit leaving the old pump/gas boiler to sort the bath water. the 3 way port is a manual hand turner as the motor dont work . is this a doable thing to run 2 separate circuits. cheers lee jcb mecanic.

before attempting anything else i would get the present system checked (chernobyl was a power station) each system has to have a PERMANENT filling pipe and most importantly an adequate expansion pipe which must not be able to be closed off at the moment hopefully they are one and the same if you inadvertantly close off the expansion pipe whilst using the wood burner then you will have created a bomb in your living room the separation can be done but not without extra safety controls and valves
