If your unit draws air from the kitchen area it can get clogged up with grease condensed out of the air. I dismounted my fan motor and found it very difficult to rotate the spindle. Then I heated it with a hair dryer and it freed up as the fat melted! Washing through with lots of oil while warm got all the gunge out and it has run for years since.
