I have a pinhole in a section of lead pipe which enters my basement and does not appear to be connected to incoming water main. It is under pressure with no stop tap. how do I stop the leak?

either try to tap a splinter of wood into the hole and then tap the surrounding lead over the wood or tap the lead at an angle to close the pinhole and again tap lead over or get jubilee clip and a piece of thin rubber put rubber over hole and clip over rubber and hole and tighten
