I have the right radio code for my Clio (checked 3 times with dealers) but the radio won't accept it.

I press 1 several times to get the first digit, then 2 to get the second, 3 to get the third, 4 to get the fourth, then press and hold 6. The radio then beeps and goes back to reading "----" on the display. Then I have to wait and wait....and wait to try again!

The radio is the original one for the car (Blaupunkt) and I had to get the code about 6 years ago when the battery went - and that time it input fine and worked.

Anyone have any suggestions? Am I doing something wrong this time? The dealership seems confused by it too

you need to remove the radio.
they are too small holes each side of the radio
use an old metal coat hanger 4 darts or very small screwdriver or long nails.
put into holes about 4-5cms and push outwards sideways
and carefully pull radio forward.
you must do the holes on each side at the same time

Then post the numbers/letters from below the main fat barcode
something like 7700xxxxxxtt123 or 8200xxxxtt123 or
the security code like Q123 or T0U123
can be found in a small box then i can help you

Instruction manual says preset 6. At the moment I can't do anything cos it has to be switched on for half hour for me to input again so I'll try later in the day.

The code is on the back right? So how do I get the radio out? Is there a way without buying that gadget?
