The radio part of my Sony CD/Radio has broken. The CD and speakers still works perfectly.
You can tune all stations and the screen displays the increase/decrease volume bars, but just hissing increases as the volume is increased.
Very common complaint with Sony radios. Regretably the tuner module needs to be replaced. The cost of this repair would most likely exceed the value of the stereo,
