My Bosch exccel 1200 express stuck midcycle - any suggestions?

My Bosch exccel 1200 express has stopped mid cycle with F04 error message. a call the Bosch repair people elicited the suggestion remove plug bottom right of machine. Couldn't budge it. Any other ideas?
