Bought a second hand Thomson Sky box. Previous owner said the box was perfect. I cannot get the box buttons to work at all although the remote will work. Also the RF outlet works with other teles in the house but the remote will not operate via the magic eyes.

Thanks for persisting T. The RF out sends a signal to the other teles and the selected programme is viewable. However the remote will not react with the magic eyes for some reason. This problem is not experienced with the old box. Also as stated in the original Q the set top buttons refuse to work although the remote operates the box in receivable distance. Any more views? I'm flummoxed!

I assume that you mean that you HAVE switched on the power to RF2 and the magic eye still doesn't work?

For tht magic eye to work, you need to switch on the power to the RF2 out port. How to has been posted umpteen times.
