No Hot water in shower after I repaired the hot water line?

I stuffed bread into 1/2 in. copper in order sweat when wet. The repair was 10 feet away from my shower valve on the hot line and now I can't get any hot water to come out of the shower. I only used 1 piece of bread and I left the shower all the way on hot all night and still no water in the morning. I've flushed the hot water taps elsewhere in the house. The cold water works fine. This morning I cut the pipe open where the repair was and water did drain from the direction of the shower valve. I also unrolled some solder to do some poking around. I poked to the first turn both ways and nothing. What should I do next?

might be good to disinfect your hot water pipe work its against water regs to do that with bread as it promotes the growth of bacteria that why hemp isnt allowed on pottable water joints
