I have just bought a cheap escort van in runs fine but. only the full beam lights will work the head lights and side light dont seem to work at all any ideas

hi, i bought a van yesterday an its got the same problem.iv had a look around an its either a bad earth connection on the back lights(which iv checked), blown fuse(which iv checked), faulty bulb holder or the stalk that turns your lights on and off.so try checking them if i find out whats up with mine i will let you know
