How can I fix my Dimmer?

Last night, one of my halogen lights blew leaving only one working in the three spotlight fixture, the other then blew about 5 minutes later. I replaced all three bulbs with the same as used before but now the dimmer function has stopped working. Any help would be greatly appriciated, it's very bright now!

The old dimmer switch went out - replaced it with a new one and neither it or the other wall plug in the dining room are working. Checked the fuse box and it seems to be okay. What might the problem be?

your dimmer is blown, the back emf when your bulb went has taken it out,buy a new dimmer, and put a 3 amp fuse in line with the feed to the dimmer switch,

halogen lights are made to be very bright, some lights are not made for dimmers, like flourescent, im not suer what power your bulb lights are , 60w 100w ect , try getting a lower power bulb than you are useing, and see how you get on , if the dimmer switch is not working with halogen, put the normal switch back on , and try it on the lowest W bulb you can get for your light fitting.
