my bathroom sink has a compression style stopper; you press to close and press again to open how do i remove the stopper in order to snake the drain w/o having to open the j trap from under the sink.i am handycapped and can't get under the sink.

without looking at it i would say it pull out ?? if not may be worth getting a local plumber to do it for you should cost you more than £20
