Its a playstation 3 slim. When you turn it on it is loud and clunky. Imput in a disk but it doesn't register whether it is a game or dvd and then it can be hard to eject. We had a couple of problems with freezing and sometimes it wouldn't turn off but nothing major. We were qouted about a hundred dollars an hour just to have it looked at.

you will need to buy some screwdrivers the realy small ones,should only cost a couple of pounds for a set,then take off the top of the console by removeing the rubber seal on the right side,unscrew the screwbehind the seal and remove the top cover,you should now see aload of screws with arrows pointing at them ,remove these,make sure u take out the disc before u do any of this,you should now see a black box thats the dlue ray drive unhock from any wires and remove the caseing ,u should now be able to clean the lens,cotton bud, now put it back together ,should work like new, o ye u might have to hoover the inside like i had to cause the ps3 sucks in dust .dont forget to u tube if ur not sure .

you need to clean the blueray lens . have a look on youtube like the other guy says. it takes me 20 mins to clean my own. have done it 3 times now

i had the same problem and fixed it myself,u need to take your ps3 apart and clean the disk lens i used a cotton bud and it was back to normal or u could try a disc cleaner.I found all i needed to know on u tube .hope this helps
