My windscreen wipers have basically fallen apart, the arm mechenism has come apart, they do work if i tie them together so i know the motor or fuse has not blown, its as if i need a washer or bolt to fit underneath to fit the arms together, but I dont know how, or how expense it is, or if I can just fix it myself?

Drill a 3mm hole through the wiper base(where the arm thats fallen off slides on to). Place a large washer on a bolt and pass the bolt up through the hole youve just drilled. Tighten with a stiffnut and the washer will prevent the arm from falling off again.

if you open bonnet and lookunderneath youll see the arms have come undone just click them back into place
