I have a servis XL6 washing m/c was working perfect but now wont empty or spin while water is in the drum. nothing is blocked in the pipes etc.
It seems to function OK in other ways ie. filling, heating, washing and rinsing etc, it just doesnt empty or spin
any ideas what it might be and/or how to fix it?

UNPLUG THE WASHER .....pull washer forward and tilt back so resting it on something,, on the front at the bottom theres a small panel it opens to the side, in there is a screw cap (put a bowl under this cap) unscrew this SLOWLY if it jams keep turning it back and forth until it frees off then wait for the water to stop put your finger down the hole and feel for any rubbish i.e. fluff ,coins, hair grips , bra wires, remove them and then screw in the cap so its tight job done..

You may need a new pump. Call a washing machine person out. You can order a new part online. Not a big job to fix.
