Ravenheat 3 Way Valve repair?

Ordered new valve, fitted it, but its now stuck out all the time, its ok till hot water bit fitted back into CH bit, any ideas? Old one had split, causing no hot water!
Many thanks

Yes, if you lose hot water but heating still works, you will find the rubber has split inside the three way valve!

I have a new one on its way, I will take some photos, if anyone needs them let me know!

It has both springs in, it however was the wrong sort, I then use the old one with the new rubber, I did try turning on hot tap and pushing it in, it did not move!

If the pin is constantly out, try opening a hot tap, if the pin can be pushed back in, somehow you have reversed the hot & cold water connections.
Either that, or you have the wrong valve? This valve is common to quite a few boiler makes but subtle changes in the connections make them operate differently.

maybe a damaged or missing spring?
