got a 04 transit.love the van hate the gearbox. bought it from a proper garage,thought it was ligit. had trouble from start, made noises like bad gear changes at first, but the more i drove it it got out of it.NOW when she,s in 1 at a light r that, the idle reving seems to make it lurch and stall when u touch the acc.you got to put her in n, then 1 when ready 2 go.went to local ford garage the told me it was showing a fault in the transmision control modoual, quoted an outragious amount 4 a new tcm. said it was reacuring problem, it may do it again, and that id be better off 2 change her 2 a manual...HELP///NO MONEY

if they say that is the fault then it is difficult to argue with them,only suggestion is to source a 2nd hand one if you can to save some cash
