The tv will not switch on and each time I click to turn it on, it begins to start up and the red standby light dissappears, then it immediately turns itself back off without the screen changing and the red standby light comes back.

I have tried repeatedly turning it off from the mains, and replugging it in and turning it off and on but the same problem occurs.
