The cistern makes a loud noise each time its flushed and only goes off when I turn the tap on, now its happening each time the toilet is flushed, can I mend it myself because 2 plumbers each have said its a big job to do with air in the pipes

air my ar**, just needs a new washer in the ball valve, the old one has lost its flex thats all, at worst a new ball valve, call out and valve about £60.00 + vat
