startup no input signal and screen keeps changing colours

Make sure that the monitor is properly connected to the computer.

Check the connectors to make sure that there are no bent or broken pins.
If there are bent or broken pins, you need a new video cable.

Check to be sure that the video cable is not damaged.
If it's damaged, you need a new cable.
