Can anybody tell me how to change the thermostat on a Hotpoint RLA81 fridge. I have located it and am happy with the wiring.

What I am concerned about it the sensor wire. This disappears into a hole and I do not know how to replace this part.

Do you pull out the old one and feed the new one in? Or is there are way of exposing this part of the fridge further in order to facilitate this.
