automatic updates not working says connect to internet but i am,also media player and kodak easy share say offline dont know what ive done

Could be firewall. try turning it off for a couple of minutes, to try update etc. some time if that works once you are connected, the firewall will accept that you want that site and let it go next time.
For updates alone, in control panel, check update settings
