The drum in my Miele W723 front loader washing machine will not turn when washing. The machine fills with water but the drum will not activate. I turn the cycle to spin and drum will not turn. Turn cycle to drain and the water does drain out. The drum does not activate but the machine fills with water and drains the water but does nothing else. Miele think it might be the electronic timer. Please help

I agree with Bernii, Replace the motor brushes (2 of them). Cheap and fairly simple to fit. Find a pair on ebay.

It wont be the timer.
Take off the lid & check the drive belt first.
It's more likely to be the carbon brushes on the motor.
