How to replace inverter in Kenmore Elite over the range microwave, Model 72?

I am receiving a F-9 error code from my Kenmore Elite over the range microwave (Model 721.63682). I believe this is due to a faulty inverter. Is this inverter something I can replace myself, or is it something that requires a repairman.

Interesting that most of the problems related to this F9 code that I've seen on the internet happened over the past 1-2 months and mostly on the Kenmore Elite series.

Yes, you can replace the inverter board yourself. You can buy it from sears parts website. I just did it, but it appears that this is not the problem as it is still doing the same thing.(quits after 5 seconds or so and ticks the whole five seconds.)Guess I'll try something else.
