Bluetooth on ford 6000cd?

I have a Ford 6000cd unit without navigation. There are options to turn the bluetooth on and off on the deck but cannot get it to bond to my mobile phone.

Excellent worked fine on 2010 6000cd thanks

Robert Slezas, December 2021
Had exactly the same problem when trying to connect a new android 6.0 mobile (previous phone worked fine on Bluetooth). Depress and hold n/off radio button for 10/15secs until screen goes blank then release, re-bond/pair your mobile phone Bluetooth with Ford 6000CD dab radio and all should be fixed.

i just bought a 2009 ford focus with ford 6000 cd - was told that it was bluetooth, but i have figured out that it is NOT.
on the hands free volume control, (the stalk), if there is NO little button at the top , that says VOICE, then the stereo fitted is NOT bluetooth. Hope this helps.

Big thankyou to whoever first posted advice about holding stereo power button for 10 seconds, to fix Bluetooth and AUX (when both don't work).

I have an Australian Ford Territory. After I installed an under seat subwoofer, my Bluetooth and AUX stopped working.

I unplugged the Bluetooth and AUX from the car, and then reconnected them, but that didn't work. I tested the power in the cable, going into them, and that was ok. I took out the whole AUX module, and took it to an electronics shop, the people there thought it was ok. I disconnected the battery a few times, that didn't work. I checked every fuse.

It took me a long time to do all that.

Then I read you just need to hold the stereo power button for 10 seconds. I wish I knew that earlier :-)

Everything was working fine up until 2 days ago I went to make a call through Bluetooth and it just displays audio muted and doesn't do anything I've held the on/off button for 15 seconds it went blank but didn't fix it as it's still displayed. Am on the road everyday for work and would love of someone knew how to resolve this issue? Thanks so much.

I have tried to find the bluetooth on my radio but i cant find it ?I have tried everything like the clip I found on the official ford website. The car is from 2009.This means I dont have bluetooth on my radio? Is it posible to connect the phone to the radio without bluetooth?

Hi there
3 days ago i bought an used Focus c-max (05/2007) with Voice Control. Unfortunately it is not working. Went yesterday to a Ford service and they as a 1st step tried by unpluging the battery. Did not solve tthe issue. Voice comand is not working and phone button and start call/end call butons on Sony radio only displays audio mute. Today with a friend of mine i removed the fuse (112) and wait more than 2 hours , i accessed (very complicate access) to the Bluetooth module on top of glove box and unpluged for 30 min and when i switched the radio on i was expecting to have the same lucky of may around here ...but unfortunately not solved, I reinstalled module 3 times but nothing
Is thereany other hint for this task? It might be a technical failure on the bluetooth module. Mine is Nokia
Pls help.....

My Bluetooth was stuck with an incoming call - could not get rid of it, could not use the radio/CD.

Solution after reading this link was to hold the On/Off button on the Audio for 15 seconds - it worked.

Thanks problem solved

The Mondeo radio will not work as it keeps going to the phone and searching for it. How do I fix it...
BTW, I don't believe it has the option to play music via bluetooth from the phone, only via the headphone to aux in socket in the most terrible glove box i have ever experienced in a car!

Aussie Ford Mondi TDCI, November 2013
Hold the on/off switch down for 15 seconds, it should reset!!!

Fair play to those who answered how to de-bond legacy phones, or how to reset the bluetooth unit.

However has anyone been able to answer Leigh's question (the first reply)? Leigh, like myself, has a ford with the 6000CD stereo with bluetooth. the phone is bonded, and works for voice command and bluetooth calls. Hoever music streaming does not work.

does anyone know how to get the ford focus' 6000CD stereo unit's bluetooth to become available as an audio output to stream music to from the phone's Music player?

Mike, August 2012
i have a 2008 ford focus zetec 1.8 tdci that came with the voice control and blue tooth as part of a promotion.

ive never had an issue with making and receiving calls and voice control but what i want to do is play music off my android phone ( galaxy s 2) via blue tooth and the music player software that came on the phone doesnt find the ford audio and thus wont play the music through it.

An update for transit owners. Bluetooth stopped working on my 2008 58 plate transit, removed fuse no.73 located in passenger junction box located behind standard relay box, located behind glovebox and hey presto now able to pair/connect my phone again.
Ford dealer sugested disconnecting battery for 30 mins but that didn't work, his other solution was a £500 + VAT parts and labour replacement, useless.

bikeysteve, January 2012
Just had same problem on new Mondeo. Phone buttons just mute and unmute the radio no bluetooth at all.
Fuse box layout must have been changed as audio fuse is now in the engine bay fuse box F43. Disconnect for 3 mins and bluetooth came back. Radio did not ask for security code, but had to rebond phone to audio system.

problem i have with ford 6000 cd is i have no sound through the bluetooth phone, its paired properly, it connects with a call but problem with sound, its not the phone as i have tried another, tried the fuses, repairedmany times, anyone help????

Eibhlin, September 2011
My voice control and hands free stopped working a while ago (Focus 05/2007). Phone buttons in radio now work only as "mute" and voice button does nothing.

I changed the new battery and it was about 15 minutes removed but didn't help for that, radio didn't ask any code and all the settings were still there. I also removed fuse 112 (which switched radio off) for 12 hours but same again: nothing changed.

Can someone tell me how to do complete "factory reset" for the radio? It apparently has some kind of own flash memory for all the settings?

Tero, February 2011
had the same problem re: bluetooth stopped working. removed fuse 58 as suggested, entered the stereo security code and all worked fine. many thanks.

Dave, February 2011
Thanx all.....I have a similar problem with my focus 08 plate, and I am going to try the fuse 112 and 58 , if it works I will be happy

gk saphire, November 2010
Hi Hope this helps, it saves you pulling any fuses.
The 6000 audio unit with Bluetooth can only have so many phones bonded to it; if you need to debond a phone do the following:

1. Press the ‘PHONE’ button on the
audio unit.
2. Press the ‘MENU’ button on the
audio unit.
3. Select the ‘DEBOND’ option on
the audio unit.
4. Scroll through the different phones
by using the ‘SEEK’ buttons and
select the phone to be debonded.

P.S. I found 4 phones bonded to my audio system that i never new about (old owners)

Chris, November 2010
looks loke this may be the problem with my 58 plate Mondeo. Bluetooth phones are not picking up the stereo will try the fuses tomorrow and also the battery. Dealer said they would need it all day so we will see also found today the front window dont go up when deadlocking via the remote key so not sure if it is related as never noticed this until the bluetooth failed??

martyn, October 2010
Thanks for the tip. It works for the C Max too. We have a 59 plate C Max Zetec ... It was fuse 112. The fuse map is in the owners manual. Accessing the passenger fuse box is easy too. There is a black nub under the glove compartment. Just pull it out, remove the fabric cover, twist the two black pegs then you are in.

Andy, October 2010
Fuse 112 worked for me on 57 Focus

Thank You very much

Tension, August 2010
Debond your phone..
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR RADIO CODE BEFORE GOING ANY FURTHER. I DIDNT NEED IT BUT HAD IT TO HAND JUST IN CASE.
Keeping your finger on the on /off button of the radio, for about 10 seconds till the screen goes blank for a moment.
The radio will come back on .
Bond your phone again and hopefully away you go.
all the best

Freddie Mercury, July 2010
I had a similar problem my phone ould pair but then would not be able to create a connection. Taking the fuse out and putting it back in worked for me. On my 08 focus it was fuse 112. Thanks for the tip

Hi

I realise this answer is almost 2 years after the last response but I was searching for help on the same issue earlier today. And I managed to resolve the problem after speaking to a Ford dealer in Leeds, so I thought this may help someone else !

Ford Focus, 07 plate with 6000CD, Bluetooth and Voice Control factory fitted. For some reason the Bluetooth / Voice control unit can lock up. This will suddenly stop your Bluetooth working and you will be unable to pair your phone with the unit.

To fix it I was told to power off the car audio unit by removing fuse 58 in the fusebox which is under the dash on the passenger side. **BEFORE** you do this make sure you have the security pin code for the unit.

Leave it disconnected for 30 seconds or so, then re-insert, enter the Pin code and Hey Presto your Bluetooth is working again !

If you are working on a different car then make sure you get the right fuse, and don't blame me if you get the wrong one....

Hope this helps.

Jim H, April 2008
Try turning your bluetooth ON on your phone with your 6000cd turned ON. This should start the search for bluetooth on your radio. If the search is successfull the phone will display your car model. Once the phone has found the car you have to "pair" the phone to the radio. This is done on the phone. Your phone handbook may tell you how to do this. You may be prompted for a code number. Once this number has been successfully entered your phone will connect to the car.
Try codes 1234, 9999,0000,5555
Good luck
