Indesit Washing Machine - Drum doesn't move - Over-loaded it! HELPPPP?

Hi
I over-loaded my machine and now the drum doesn't go round - is this a motor problem or do you think it could just be the belt has snapped? Many thanks. Michelle

Could be either, but to have a good guess if the belt is intact or not you could put your hand in the drum and spin it round. If the belt has snapped then it'll go for ages, but is the belt is ok, it will slow down fairly quickly. Also you'll be able to hear the motor spinning. Altearnatively you can set the maching going and listen for the motor, if the belt has snapped it may well be quiet, but you should hear it.
