Now that i can receive digital channels can i record these on to my video and dvd player. if so how do i connect the scart leads to the television please.

You need to look in the TV's manual to see if it can OUTPUT to another device. If it can be done the manual will tell you how to set it up.

Even if it does, you will only be able record a programme that is playing on your TV. If you plan to record a lot you'd do better to get either a PVR (Personal Video Recorder) with a digital tuner built in (I saw one in Sainsbury's the other day for eighty quid.) or a DVD recorder with a digital tuner built in. Then you'll be able to watch one programme while recording another.
