Hoover Steam Vac is leaking water from the bottom???

Can someone tell me how to take apart a hoover steam vac, because mine is leaking water out of the bottom left side without the trigger being squeezed? I looked at it, but can't seem to figure out how the thing comes apart to see if there is a hose off somewhere or what.....???? Dont' want to go out an buy an new one if this can be fixed. This machine has paid for itself, over and over again!!! Sure would hate to pitch it if it is something simple like a hose or something.....

it most likely is the black rubber piece.. I looked it up online and found the part number. I ordered it but am trying to put the new one on..not sure if you need a tool or what..

Hello Donna,
Sorry to hear you are having the same problem. But the problem I have is that it is leaking water irregardless what position the handle is in. Mine must be a little older model than yours, because mine does not have the "Tools" or "Floor" thing on it. Mine you have to manually put on and take off the upolstery hose and attachment. I am beginning to wonder if my problem is the little black rubber "O" sorta of looking ring that sits under the Clean water tank. I just thought that since it was coming out from under the left side of the cleaner on the bottom, that there was or perhaps still is, a hose off in there or a cracked hose, etc. Henceforth that is why I posted on this site, hoping to get some advice on how to take the bottom of the cleaner apart????? I just found out today that I no longer have a Service Center around here from the store that I bought this from. So in other words, I will have to order it,....and... I also can not find the owners manual for it, so I have no idea what that part number would even be for that little black "O" looking rubber piece under that tank is. Any help in this matter will be deeply appreciated!!!

Sorry, no answers from me. Sure hope you get an answer though as I have a Hoover F6024-900 and mine appears to leak/blow water out of the bottom left side also. From what I can figure out this happens on mine when my handle is in the upright/tool position only. I don't seem to have the problem with the handle down in the carpet cleaning position.
