why dose my strimmer wire keep stapping ?

i have not used my strimmer for a while but i have just tryed to use it i have put new wire in and think i may have treaded it wrong because it keeps snapping ?

Trimmer line is designed to trim grass NOT fence posts, of course it will break! Try trimming UP TO the post rather than trimming it.

To the OP, there are many reasons this is happening but without seeing it how are we supposed to know?

if nylon cord I had same problem with the self fill cord packs, thought i was clever saving money buying cheaper packs but the cord kept snapping when it hit small fencing surrounding veg plot. Changed to thicker cord which lasted twice as long.
