Please advise I've search net and found nothing.

We had a nice green Ivy hedge when we moved in the bungalow 2004 on border of aunt's garden. Over the last two years it's died off what could be the casue as other plant/shrulbs are growing so it can't be poison soil. Rats we did have but are gone now.They lived at side of large 6 x 4 compost heap built by previous owners and never used their Son in law was to lazy to take it to tip, yes he had a car. If soil ok anyone know of quick growing clematis?.
