Can't get lid to reseal after seal replacement on saniflo?

I have recently replaced the internal rubber seal but now can't get the top to 'click'back on again. Every time the pump pumps it pops up again

Saniflo lid seals mostly fit into the lid first.
Old seals can shrink when taken off wash them in hot water and stretch them back on to the lid.
Apply washing up liquid sparingly on the outer edge of the lid seal and push the lid back in place first one side then the other untill the lid clicks back in place.

If too much washing up liquid is used then it runs down the case and can look like a leak or it will foam up inside the machine and make it run all the time so use it sparingly please.

Its important to get the seal seated correctly before using any force to return lid. You do then need a good deal of pressure to replace the lid. Test the seal by placing newspaper under the unit to spot any leaks.
