letter box is broken so i need to replace it. how do i remove the old one and fit the new letterbox??

The aluminium letterbox on my pvc front door has become welded to the door's skin (by heat from the sun, I assume). The letterbox needs replacing because the flap springs have broken. How can I remove the external section of the letterbox without damaging the skin of the door?

Lift flap should be 4 screws remove & it will come off. If you can't see screws it could be stuck on, put a thin blade down behind.
