how can I fix my Hotpoint WF865?

What does the code F-05 mean- this comes on about half way through the cycle?

Barn's answer above is pretty much accurate. The pressure switch is at the middle of the side under the detergent dispenser drawer. I couldn't get the pump out of mine, but disconnecting the hose into the pump was enough access to get some muck out. Thanks, Barn!

the code F05 means pressure switch jammed on full or your pump is blocked.. so for the pressure switch UNPLUG THE MACHINE ........ remove the lid look on the top edge around the cabinet for a round component with a small tube attached take the tube off and blow down it if you here bubbles its clear then tap the pressure switch not to hard blow into the little spout on the pressure switch not to hard if it clicks once when you blow into it it should click when you remove your lips if it does this thats ok so the pump at the back of the washer is a small panel remove this inside you will see in the bottom right hand corner the pump lift the middle strip of plastic between the base of the cabinet and the pump then wilst doing that slide the pump towards you pullthe pumpout through the hole not to hard get a bowl under the pump then look around the motor part of the pump you"ll see three screws remove them and then pull the two halfs apart if clear reassemble then on the bottom of the tub attached to the pump is the sump hose loosen the clamp off the tub and pull the hose down watch for water in the end of that is a filter take that out along with the ball if it got one and clean. then reassemble (sounds alot but its fairly easy)
