This is an Ideal Standard cistern. It does not stop re-filling and the water keeps flowing down. It's this type of cistern with two buttons. The top slab seem fixed. Don't know how to open it to look inside.
How do i open it? What's gone wrong? and How do I fix it? Thanks for your help.

either the whole of the button assembly unscrews or you have to pull out the buttons and undo the screw underneath as regards over filling can be washer needs replacing, float adjusting etc.
