Can anyone help with the identifying and purchasing of the Ambient air temp sensor. It keeps reading minus 38 then gradually returns to normal temp, maybe its shorting out?

its only a tantallon bead,.a solid state bead that either the resistance rises or falls depending on the type,
check the sensor head for any damage,
