My laptop was updating yesterday, when we had a power cut, now when you try and turn it on it says there is a problem and can not start, I have used the f12 key and tried to restore it back to 11/04/11 this has not worked when I try to boot in safe mode it starts to load the windows blurb but stops everytime as it gets to crcdisk, I bought it second hand and therefore have no installation cd. Help me please

try getting in to the advanced menu, this is for xp,,press and hold F8 on start up, try safe mode again in the adavanced menu window, if that dont work, pick another start from the advanced list, if you get into safe mode , do a system restore from in there,
