I need to remove the rear door panel of an R reg mondeo to get to a sticky door handle. I am unable to remove the window winder can anyone help please.

The handle is held in place by a metal clip that is attached to the handle which then locates into a groove machined into the winder spigot there is a special tool to help remove the clip or you can do it with a 90 degree pick or simalr device ,as you release the clip it can fly off as it is under a little tension

Point the winder downwards and push the ring behind it towards the panel,you should see a wire clip it is horseshoe in shape,use a piece of hooked wire to pull the clip upwards and the handle will come off.To refit push the clip on to the handle all the way,put handle on the winder pin in the position you want it and bash the winder on with your hand,the clip will spread open and engage in the slot.It will be clearer when you do it.
