What are the master and slave control thingy describe?

can you please help me fix my driver in good detail so i understand not so good with comps

Remember - You only want 1 jumper in EITHER Master or Slave. - which one doesn't matter.

IDE (Integrated Drive Electronics) disk drives are attached to the computer by 'daisy chaining' the signal cable. That is to say it goes from one drive to the other and then to the computer. The drives are indentified to the computer by making one them 'Master' and the other one 'Slave' so that the computer can tell them apart. They are made Master or Slave by moving a jumper plug on the drive.

If you have more than one drive alreadys installed don't worry about it. If you buy a new drive, the instructions that come with it will show you how to move the jumper if necessary..
