e&r classic?

how can i set the timming on my e&r classic i changed the needle and it now keeps looping when im using the machine anyone have any answers on how to fix this x

If the machine is looping it indicates that the upper thread is being picked up & that the timing is ok.Next step is to try turning the upper tension up to No9,if this doesn't eliminate the probem it indicates that there is something obstructing the upper tension unit.If this is the case turn the tension dial to zero, raise the foot & blow or use an old needle to clean between the tension discs situated to the left of the tension adjustment dial.Hope this helps.

Was the machine ok before changing the needle? If so you will probably find that you have inserted the needle incorrectly. Try re inserting the needle, flat edge to the back & ensure the needle is pushed up to the stop screw. I would also advise re threading the machine ensuring the thread is under sufficient tension before sewing.
