Try this:
1 - Reboot. Hold the Ctrl key on the welcome screen as soon as you are pass the login and keep it down untill you get to the desktop.
(this will prevent items in the startup folder from starting)
1.1 - Click the Start button, All programms, Startup.
You can delete any of those shortcuts.
Are those pages still open as soon as the desktop appears? Or do they take some time to show?
In the first case, it looks as a wallpaper...
1.2 - TRY changing your wallpaper.
2 - Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open the task manager.
2.1 - In the process tab, is there an iexplore.exe process?
Kill that process!
As you just booted, there should be NO iexplore process at all.
Does that make those pages go away?
3 - Open the registry editor. (hold the win-logo key + R and type "regedit" in the box that appears)
You may want to back up the registry, but it's a realy minor procedure and change with no real risks of causing any problem.
Navigate to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mocrosoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
Those are the applications that are launched for your current profile.
If you see an entry for iexplore.exe or an URL, delete it.
DON'T touch any other values.
Navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Mocrosoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
Those are the applications that are launched for every users.
If using Vista or 7, you probably need to escalate to administrator privilege to change anything here.
If you see an entry for iexplore.exe or an URL, delete it.
