What is wrong with my Fisher Paykel?

The drain pump went out so I replaced it. Now the washer will not turn on. The instruction sheet, that came with the new pump, for installing a new fuse holder, says "If the motor control board is NOT bad DO NOT change it". By sending me a fuse holder to install and by saying that in the instructions, can I assume that the board is bad now?

Is this a normal problem when the drain pump goes out? It would have been nice to know when I ordered the pump. Now I have to wait another 2 weeks for that to get here??

It is the GWL11. And yes, the new pump came with a fuse and fuseholder to install on the machine. I am an electrician by trade and the only time I have seen this is when the manufacturer found a problem with their epuipment. So, they send a fix for it with the replacement part.

What model number? I have never heard of or seen a new drain pump come with an instruction sheet or have any mention of a fuse holder. A bad drain pump can sometimes damage the control board but not always. Before ordering parts at random which may not even need replacing and costing you uneccessary dollars you should test the old part first & when satisfied it is actually faulty then replace it. If you can't test it then get someone to come & do it for you.
