My washing machine drum is loose. Hotpoint 800 delux 9526?

The front side of the drum is loose, i know very little about washing machines but i'm convinced if its something like a rubber band i can fit it. I'm quite technical minded.

Does that sound right? I have taken the top off but it appears that i would have to remove all the bits of motor and such above it. or can i take off the back and pull the drum out in that direction?

drum only comes out of the front

It could be your bearings have gone.Does the drum make a loud noise when spinning ?. it is better to take the drum out from the front of the machine

Hi! You say the drum is loose...is it noisy when it turns or spins? if so its the bearings. If its just the outer container thats wobaly then it may be one of the suspension legs have come apart or broken. Did the machine bang about a lot before the drum became loose? Unfortunatly there are so many posable answers to your statment that you would need to go into more detail. Try checking out www.selfix-uk.co.uk and see if any solutions on there will help.
