whirpool motor turning wrong way?

i would like to know if the older model whirpool washer motor use to turn clock or anti clock wise,machine work but does not pump the water out.all pipes are clean and new pump fitted.motor turning anticlock standing in front of machine????

thanks for the info,this pump fitt on the side of motor and can only go on one way,later models i have seen got one way valve but this one got one large and one smaller holes bigger one for inlet smaller for outlet the rotation of motor cause water back into machine instead of out. will try some more

I'm not familiar with your model, but most washing machine pumps can turn in either direction, it wouldn't matter. The pump housing has one way rubber valves to allow water to only flow in one direction. You obviously have to have the housing the right way round, i.e. the drum feeds into the inlet and the sink waste connects to the pump outlet.
