Hi,
My Hubby has been given a Ryobi chainsaw (model 4046C) by someone who says
they used it when it was new with no oil in, it was only ever used the once, it looks brand new, but it just won't start. My hubby has stripped it down but can find nothing wrong with it, it just
won't start. I was just wondering if you had any idea what would be the most
likely cause of this.

when you say no oil do you mean no 2 stroke oil ?
if so chances are the piston and barrel will be badly worn not worth doing anything with it to check take exhaust off you should be able to see the side of the piston
