how can I fix my audio system?

I bought my vectra b with a after market radio,I have now fitted a philips ccr 600 and a blaupunkt autochanger both with codes the radio works great but the cd loads the disc but nothing comes up on screen so cannot enter code.Is it something I am doing wrong or is it a faulty unit
